Dear ARPAC Team:

It’s that time of year again for ARPAC, LLC’s 3rd Annual food and fund drive to support the Greater Chicago Food Depository!  I hope you will join us in this effort to help thousands of Chicagoans who are at risk of going hungry.

Last Year we donated 1,045 pounds of food that provided 871 quality meals for the hungry in our community.

Congratulations to all on this accomplishment for our second year!!

Our goal this year is to Fill up to 30 BOXES with food.

***Money donations will be excepted. Please give donations to Melissa Fowler. On the last week of the food drive,  Melissa will go to Aldi’s to purchase additional food with all donations.***

The fact is people are struggling to access nutritious food.  Right now the food insecurity rate in Cook County is 16.6 percent, meaning 860,670 people are unsure of when they will have their next meal.  In some communities, the food insecurity rate is as high as 1 in 3.  With the support from our food and fund drive, we will help the Food Depository provide food to these communities during challenging times.

The Food Depository has been distributing food since 1979.  They began as a small operation founded by six individuals with a dream to end hunger; they continue today with the same inspiration, alongside their network of 650 member agencies – food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters.  With our support, they will continue to keep food flowing into our community while addressing the root causes of hunger.

Here are ways you can help:

  • Donate non-perishable food
Collection boxes are located at all Buildings in the Production Lunchrooms from November 9th to December 21st. Please see the Most Needed Items for the specific food items we are trying to collect. Also, posted on all the donation boxes.
  • Help spread the word
Please forward this email to friends and family and encourage them to help us reach our goal!

Thank you in advance for your help!!!!!  TOGETHER we can make sure no one goes hungry in our community.

APRAC pioneers the OEM-Integrator model

“As end users struggle to do more with less, ARPAC fills a unique niche as a secondary packaging OEM-Integrator, drawing from a diverse product line, vertical integration, and engineering expertise.

Eight years ago, Rick Allegretti, ARPAC president and CEO realized that one traditional manufacturing method would not satisfy the portfolio of secondary packaging products ARPAC was offering. In some ways, the company was a victim of its own success, as its highly varied product line meant that on-size-fits-all manufacturing didn’t exist. To compliment the need for Engineered-to-order (ETO), Build-to Stock (BTS), Build-to-order (BTO) and Assembly-to-Order (ATO) products, ARPAC implemented strategic focus factories. Today ARPAC operates six so-called “focus” factories designed for manufacturing the different product line needs in a lean manufacturing environment suited uniquely for each of the ETO, BTS, BTO and ATO products.”…
